The Town of Druskaven
The Town of Druskaven
The adverage allighnment of the town is Lawful Nuetral. Just about all of the people are fair and honest. The town has a wooden wall, two wells, an apothecary, bakery, forge, prison, armory, barracks, an inn, a church on sarenrae, another church of Iomedae, a graveyard, around four or five dozen houses, a couple of small shops, a library, and the house of Sozien. At the Adrigona River there is a small little dock a small inn and two little shops for reloading supplies, though this small area is roughly eight miles away from the town it is still considered part of Druskaven. There are two main roads going in and out of town that connect in the town square. At the town square there is a half a century old statue of Sozien standing on a stone platform. As far as wealth goes Druskaven is off pretty well. Come summer time Druskaven is a trading hotspot, with merchants and caravans flowing in and out of the town. During the winter the bussiness slows down and not much happens in the town. They order the things they need like flour, iron, coal, etc. They sometimes do some hunting in the winter to save gold though their relations with the druids discourage it. There are no bodies of water right next to the town, but there is the Adrigona River roughly eight miles away. The Thickwood forest surrounds the town on all sides, and hills can be seen in the far distance. Everyone in town knows of the druids and most know that they live in a grove somewhere in the wilderness, though nobody except perhaps the dwarven ranger Barsk knows excactly where it is. There are nearly 400 people in Druskaven. All of which are human except for the grumpy dwarf Barsk, old half orc man Grush (the crazy old hermit), the mayor Sozien and his daughter Parsha both of whom are aasimar.
History of Druskaven
The town Druskaven was founded by the Aasimar named Sozien Druskaven about 60 years ago. Sozien the Aasimar that founded the town is still alive and is still mayor. He married a human woman named Maria about twenty years ago and together about seven years later they had a daughter and named her Parsha. The town started with just Soziens and the house he was making, when he was nealy done a small caravan taking an old overgrown road came across this large clearing and Soziens house, this was almost a year after Sozien started building his house. Some liked the thought of starting over in a little area like this and decided to stay, the dwarf Barsk was one of these people. When their small little community was nothing more than a few small houses plus Soziens house, (which is more of a Manor) the druids introduced themselves. No one knows just excactly when the druids made their home in the Thickwood forest, except for the druids of course, and maybe the dwarf Barsk if they’ve told him. Gradually more and more people joined this little community unitl it became what we know it as today.
